High resolution G+C plot combined with the gene map each 100 kb of the M.pneumoniae genome. This figure illustrates the proposed sites of genomic recombination and their correlation to the repetitive DNA sequences. The position of the repetitive DNA sequences can easily be recognized by an increase in the G+C-content. The segments of conserved gene order are displayed as coloured bars. The magenta coloured bars indicate the areas of putative genomic recombinations. The thick coloured arrows indicate the functional categories of the proposed ORFs from M.pneumoniae.
