The ZMBH teaching program is committed to train young scientists to become talented and independent researchers and teachers. Students in the program undertake a rigorous curriculum of classroom instructions and laboratory courses. The program offers a large variety of excellent lectures, seminars, and practical courses for undergraduates and graduates in biology and future biology teachers. Courses for undergraduates provide a basic knowledge in molecular and cellular biology, methodology, and an understanding of the biosciences. Master students are not only exposed to current research topics and advanced methods, they are also introduced to active science. Besides broadening their knowledge on selected key aspects in molecular and cell biology, the importance of a substantial lab training and an introduction to fluent scientific communication, both verbally and in writing, are emphasized. All our activities are part of the programs offered by the Faculty of Biosciences. More information is available on the respective web pages on the Bachelor Program "Molecular Cell Biology" (taught in German) as well as the Master Program "Molecular Biosciences" with a Major in Molecular and Cellular Biology (taught in English). Detailed information may be obtained from the Faculty of Biosciences at http://www.uni-heidelberg.de/fakultaeten/biowissenschaften/studium/index.html and from the electronic course directory http://lsf.uni-heidelberg.de "Fakultät für Biowissenwissenschaften"/"Biologie" http://elearning.uni-heidelberg.de The Teaching Office (Lehrsekretariat) Office hours: Mon thru Wed, 9 - 10 am |
