New funding for ZMBH research group leaders Prof. Dr. Nora Vögtle & Prof. Dr. Michael Knop from the Advanced Research + Invention Agency (ARIA) to develop new approaches for engineering the mitochondrial genome. As one of 19 teams in the Precision Mitochondria Programme, they will develop novel genetic engineering approaches to enable targeted interventions in the genome of mitochondria using yeast as a model system. Funded with £710,000 (€825,000) over three years.
